New Orleans Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a teenage girl in New Orleans East Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to Curran Boulevard at the far end of New Orleans East around 1:40 p.m.
According to an NOPD spokesperson, officers found girl suffering from a single gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not yet released the victim's name or exact age.
Police arrested 19-year-old Andre Skinner Sunday night. He's facing one count of negligent homicide and two counts of negligent injuring. Despite filing the negligent injury charges, officers did not specify if anyone else was wounded during the shooting.
