Motorists this morning reported flames and smoke visible off the side of the I-10 over the Bonnet Carre' Spillway bridge between LaPlace and Kenner.
"Why is there a fire in the lake?" one person texted WWL.
Another listener texted, "Just crossed over the spillway going west there's a marsh fire kinda close to the west bound lanes."
Smoke was crossing the lanes of traffic, thick at times.
