New Orleans Fire Department fought a stubborn two alarm fire at a home on Fig and Hollygrove streets just off Earhart Boulevard this morning.
Units responded to a smoke call at a property undergoing renovations with a heavy fire in the center of the structure.
The structure ignited the two homes on either side of it, which prompted a second alarm for extra manpower.
The residents from these addresses were already displaced from a previous fire at the same address on October 14, 2022.
The damage in those homes were moderate but in this recent fire the homes received heavy damage.
In all, this address has had four fires in the year of 2022: June 8, June 10, October 14, and December 3rd.
Sixteen NOFD units carrying forty-four Fire Operations personnel, NOPD and Entergy were used to bring this incident under control by 6:15 in the morning.
There were no reported injuries, but NOFD has called the fire suspicious and is under investigation.
