What began at 4’oclock in the morning with a man being shot in the head and shoulder by an assailant, ended late Saturday with a trio of shootings stretching from Iberville to New Orleans East.
The second shooting of the day occurred in New Orleans East on the small side street of Flite Ave, near Downman Road and Chef Highway.
There was no word on the condition of the victim, but they were transported via EMS to a hospital.
The day remained relatively calm until the triple outburst of gunfire that began in the 8 o’clock hour at Treme and Bienville in the Iberville neighborhood.
That victim made his own way to a nearby hospital.
The next shooting happened on Alabama Street near the intersection of Curran, behind Downman Road near the lakeside.
The third shooting within 30-minutes occurred near Bullard and the I-10 near the location of New Orleans Hamburgers and Seafood.
That victim also made their own way to a local hospital.
It is not known if the three shootings are related.
NOPD is investigating all the shootings.
