New Orleans Police report another four robberies in the city from Saturday afternoon to very early Sunday morning.
The first was right after noon on Saturday when a suspect wearing a hard hat and safety vest pulled a gun on three men in the 1900 block of Treasure Street near the I-610.
"The victims were outside when a black male in construction clothing approached them wielding a gun," according to the initial police report.
"The suspect ordered them to the ground."
Police day the gunman too cell phones and a wallet and fled.
A suspect with a similar description struck again just north of there a little more than an hour later. This time as a home invasion.
The report says it happened in the 4300 block of Randolph Avenue.
A man with "jeans, work boots and yellow safety vest" robbed a man and woman in their home.
"The suspect entered the house and demanded their money and phones.
The male victim gave him his wallet... and the female victim gave him her cell phone."
The robber then fled.
Just before 1:00am there was another robbery. This time it happened near the Convention Center.
It happened at 732 Convention Center Blvd. Police did not initially release any details.
Then shortly before 3:00am a gas station was robbed at 9201 Airline Highway.
"The suspect entered the building, pulled out a pistol, and demanded money from the register. The establishment complied and the suspect fled in an unknown direction."
This all comes amid a huge surge in robberies and violent crime as the NOPD continues to shrink to new historically low levels.
