Funeral arrangements for sports journalist Ed Daniels were announced today.
The public is invited to attend visitation and mass at St. Philip Neri Church, 6500 Kawanee Ave., Metairie, on Thursday, Aug. 22.
After a private burial ceremony, the public is invited to attend a celebration of Daniel's life at Rock N'Bowl at S. Carrollton Ave. and Earhart Blvd. from 3 to 5 p.m.
Daniels died Friday from complications after he suffered a heart attack last month while covering Saints training camp in Irvine, California.
New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson paid for Daniels' flight back to New Orleans for treatment at Ochsner Medical Center.
Daniels is survived by his wife, five children, and five grandchildren.
