Family: Grandfather attacked inside Tiger Stadium during South Carolina game

LSU

Loved ones say an LSU fan was beaten and robbed while going to the bathroom inside Tiger Stadium during the game Saturday.

"My sweet father-in-law (FIL), a long time LSU season ticket holder, loving husband, son, father and grandpa, was attacked from behind and robbed at the urinal while using the LSU stadium bathroom near his section on the lower level of the South End zone with police just outside."

The victim's daughter-in-law posted that the attacker posed as an LSU employee before repeatedly hitting the man over the head.

"Be aware of your surrounds in and around LSU Tiger stadium and campus for a man posing as a Tiger stadium employee only to attack you."

She says the victim, a grandfather, was left bloodied and bruised.

"He does have a nasty head contusion and lots of bumps, bruises and head/ jaw pain. Please keep him in your prayers."

An LSU spokesman says it was reported to the LSU Police department, and they are investigating.

The family described the attacker as, “18-25ish year old, around 6’0” tall, African American, Male, light colored/ white pants with darker pattern or stripes, light colored short sleeve shirt, light colored ball cap, wearing a face mask(like everyone else due to COVID).”

They say he got away with less than $100.
