Lafourche parish authorities have found the wreckage of the helicopter reported crash in the marsh off of Pointe-aux-Chenes.
"It appears at this time that there are no survivors," said Lafourche Parish President Archie Chaisson. "The majority of the helicopter is submerged in the marsh just off of the Pointe-aux-Chenes reserve."
Chaisson said the company that owns the helicopter will notify the families of the two people, a pilot and one passenger, who were on board.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
