New Orleans Police say there was a hit And run early Christmas morning that left a 39-year-old man and an unknown man dead on the interstate.
"The accident occurred shortly before 1:30 A.M., on Interstate-10 right before the Canal Street Exit," Officer Reese Harper said in a news release.
Investigators say a Kia and Dodge were stopped in the left lane on the interstate for reasons unknown.
"The unidentified man was standing outside of the Kia when a black Honda CRV struck him and fled the scene."
Harper says the 39-year-old man was also standing outside of the vehicle when a Chevrolet pickup truck squeezed between the Kia and the guard rail, hitting the Dodge and the unidentified man.
"EMS pronounced both men dead on scene… The investigation is ongoing."
