A federal judge sentenced a Hollygrove man to 30 years in prison for dealing drugs and a violent carjacking.
The Department of Justice says Brian Jones, 26, along with co-conspirators sold drugs in the Hollygrove area of New Orleans in and around a neighborhood corner store.
In October he also pistol-whipped and shot a carjacking victim multiple times from point-blank range, and then ran the victim over with a vehicle. The victim did survive says the DOJ.
