WWLTV’s Payton Malone says, “Though a ridge of high pressure remains over the Gulf south, enough moisture has allowed for scattered showers and storms to develop with some brief period of heavy rain in localized areas. This will likely continue through the week. Where it doesn't rain or rain doesn't arrive until later in the afternoon, highs easily climb to the low and mid-90s.”
