Actor and comedian Adam Devine, known for his work in the film “Pitch Perfect”, as well as the TV shows “Modern Family” and “Workaholics” and more, is Bacchus this year.

WWL’s Scoot talked with the Iowa native about his reign during the 2023 Mardi Gras season and how he’s been enjoying the Big Easy.

“You have been having so much fun,” said Scoot. “I mean, I’m having fun just watching you have fun.”

“I feel like in any other city, I’d be arrested for the amount of fun that I’m currently having,” Devine admitted. “But in New Orleans, they let it fly.”

This is actually the first time Devine has participated in New Orleans Mardi Gras celebrations, even though he said he has been to the city “hundreds of times,” and his wife, Chloe Bridges, is from the New Orleans area.

“So really everything is totally new and exciting,” he said. “And, you know, I'm just sort of strapped in on this rocket ship. Yeah, it's ready to explode at any minute.”
