A crash in Interstate 12 near Madisonville has left a man dead.
That crash happened around 10 p.m. Saturday on I-12 East near the Madisonville/Goodbee exit.
According to state troopers, Treddis Russell was driving towards Slidell when he rear-ended an 18-wheeler that had slowed down because of congestion on the highway. Russell died of his injuries at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
