Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng is in quarantine after exposure to someone who has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus, The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.
"I was informed yesterday that I was recently near someone who tested positive for COVID-19," according to a statement from Sheng read aloud at today's Jefferson Parish Council meeting. "I was informed yesterday that I was recently near someone who tested positive for COVID-19."
According to the report, Sheng says she is symptom-free and is awaiting rest results.
