The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says a man reported missing from Jefferson Parish was found dead in his vehicle that had crashed into a canal in Larose.
The family of 47-year-old Burnell Sens II reported him missing on January 21.
His last known location, based on cell phone data, was in the Larose area.
Sens body was found the following day inside his truck, which had crashed into a canal on private property on Adama Blvd. in Larose.
The truck was submerged up to its hood.
An autopsy revealsed the cause of death to be hypothermia. The sheriff's office says alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, and toxicology results are pending.
