A Jefferson Parish man is being charged with a federal count of making a terrorist threat.
59 year old Russell Vennell is accused of making a phone call to the Brookings Institute in Washington D.C. threatening to kill one of their employees.
According to the indictment He called back some time later and made the same threat, only this time he left a voicemail of his threat.
The FBI later arrested Vennell.
If convicted, Vennell faces a maximum penalty of five (5) years imprisonment and up to a $250,000.00 fine.
