A pedestrian is dead after a Sunday night crash in Marrero.
It happened around 6:40 p.m. on 4th Street near Marrero Road.
According to sheriff's deputies, a truck hit the pedestrian from behind. The pedestrian, identified only as a man, died at the scene. Deputies say the driver remained on site and cooperated with deputies, including submitting to toxicology testing.
The crash remains under investigation.
