Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies are investigating the Westbank’s second homicide in less than 12 hours, this one in Harvey.
Deputies received call about gunfire on Aberdeen Drive near Scotsdale Drive, about two blocks off the Westbank Expressway just east of the Harvey Canal, around 9:20 a.m. Monday. A few minutes later, deputies found a car that had been shot several times on Lochlomand Drive near Argyll Drive, about two blocks away. Investigators say they found a man dead inside that car.
Deputies believe the victim was shot while he was driving, causing to crash into several cars before his vehicle came to a stop. No one was in any of the other cars.
