Jefferson Parish Sheriffs have successfully recovered a stolen unmarked police cruiser with one of their canine officers inside.
No details on where the recovery took place. There was a firearm in the vehicle when it was taken, but it is not known if it was recovered.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff's are looking for one of their police cruisers with one of their own, a canine officer inside, after it was reported stolen.
The 2014 Black Ford Explorer was taken around 6pm near the intersection of West Esplanade and Severn in Metairie.
JPSO says a canine officer and firearm were in the vehicle when it was heisted.
JPSO and NOPD are working together on locating the stolen SUV and the canine.
