JPSO is looking for a killer after finding a dead child.
"Sheriff Joseph Lopinto reports that the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide... in Terrytown," Sergeant Brandon Veal said in a news release. "Around 12:10 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of a subject being shot in the 900 block of East Monterey Ct."
He says cops showed up to find an "unresponsive juvenile male victim in the street."
The victim had been shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
"Anyone with information is asked to call our Homicide Section at 504-364-5300 or contact Crimestoppers."
Veal did not release the age of the victim.
