Like many Mardi Gras krewes who will not be parading, Krewe du Pooch finds an alternate way to celebrate Mardi Gras by going virtual with their costume contest.
Contestants are asked to submit a video of their k-9 pet in costume. Costumes must be in the krewe’s theme, 'Go Dog Go’. Pet owners can also dress in costume with their pets. Contestants are asked to say their name, the name of their pet, and details about their costume in the video.
The krewe’s judges will select the best contestant videos which will be posted on the krewe’s Facebook page to be voted on by the krewe’s followers.
The krewe will select a King, Queen, and three krewe members.
Winners will get pet-related gift baskets from Adventure Pets and their pictures posted on the krewe’s social media websites.
