A Northshore dog parade will take place one day later than planned because of anticipated strong storms on Saturday.
Officials with Mandeville's Krewe du Pooch say they are postponing their parade until noon on Sunday. Lineup will begin at 11 a. m. at the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Marigny Avenue, and the parade will follow its normal route.
"We can’t wait to celebrate with you, your pups, and the community—all while raising funds for local rescue organizations!" officials said on the krewe's Facebook page.
After the parade is over, a block party will take place on the lakefront until 4:30 p.m.
