Lafayette Congressman Clay Higgins is battling his second round infection of COVID-19.

The Republican representative announced Sunday that he, his wife and his son are all diagnosed with the deadly virus.

“I have COVID, Becca has COVID, and my son has COVID. Becca and I had COVID early on, in January 2020, before the world really knew what it was. So, this is our second experience with the CCP biological attack weaponized virus...and this episode is far more challenging. It has required all of my devoted energy,” said Higgins in a statement posted to social media.

He says they are undergoing treatment and says the doctor’s prognosis is positive.

This is the second time Higgins says this is the second time he has caught COVID. The first time he was infected, he says, was last January.
