The number of COVID cases in Louisiana shows no sign of reversing from its current upward trend.
Today the Louisiana Department of Health reports 9,378 new cases across the state. That is the largest single-day increase reported by the LDH.
Hospitalizations are also up, to 659 which is an increase of 145 since yesterday’s 514. Of those patients hospitalized, the LDH reports 77% were not fully vaccinated. The LDH also reports five new deaths.
