A man who was shot during an weekend incident in Lafourche Parish is in jail for his alleged role in that shooting.

Lafourche Parish sheriff’s deputies say that shooting happened around 9:20 a.m. Saturday on Smithwillow Drive in Bayou Blue.

According to investigators, responding deputies saw a blue Hyundai leaving the area. Houma police later spotted the vehicle and stopped it. The driver of that car, Noah Mills, was suffering from a thigh wound.
Authorities took Mills, 20, to a hospital where he was treated for his wound.

After Mills was discharged from the hospital, deputies arrested him on aggravated assault and other charges. His bond has not yet been set.

The shooting remains under investigation.
