Landry says he won't take a DC job

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry's office today said that he is staying in the state, even if he were offered the job of US Attorney General in the Trump administration.

Director of Communications Kate Kelly says the governor was one of the top three candidates on a short list to be attorney general.


The governor has said publicly that he had conversations with the Trump team and offered to help them find the best attorney general, but said he will be staying in Louisiana.
