A boater is dead after an incident in Bayou Sengette State Park.
Our partners at WWL-TV report that Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies pulled the boater's body from Marcello Canal around 10:30 this morning. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
Authorities say a 16-foot boat was involved, but what exactly happened remains under investigation. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is leading that investigation.
