Ian Auzenne is WWL’s morning drive news anchor – smart, fast and fully devoted to making sure your life is a little easier by delivering clear, concise and to-the-point news and sports. And, yes, Ian gives you the business! He’s the news guy with personality – a perfect complement to Tommy Tucker weekday mornings on WWL First News.

During football season, Ian is the go-to guy to find out what’s going on inside the prep scene, hosting the WWL Prep Football Roundup and Pelican State Prep Football Preview. Just like most New Orleanians, Ian knows high school football is your first calling card.

Ian is a broadcasting lifer, who got into the game when he was in fifth grade. He started in television before pivoting to radio while studying at Princeton University. Ian was an award-winning TV news producer before jumping into radio full time. Since then, he’s won awards for his work as a news anchor, as a sports talk host, and as a play-by-play announcer.

A trivia buff, Ian hosts two weekly trivia nights in New Orleans and appeared as a contestant on Sports Jeopardy! Yes, he’s a know it all! (BUT, really – he really does know it ALL!) Ian also makes time to officiate sports - working as a high school and college volleyball referee and softball umpire when he’s off the air.
