It’s safe to say Draegen Bethel didn’t think he’d ever see the fruits of one of his greatest sporting accomplishments ever again.

Bethel was part of a Southeastern Louisiana Lions baseball team that took home the Southland Conference championship in 2014, earning himself a championship ring in the process.

The ring was taken shortly after it was won though, stolen in a 2015 vehicle burglary.

This week though, Bethel received good news from the Hammond Police Department, who notified him that the ring had been recovered as part of a recent investigation.

HPD posted a picture to their Facebook page after they presented the ring back to Bethel along with the story.
