For some, the rallying cry when the calendar flips from summer to fall seems to be, "PUMPKIN SPICE ALL THE THINGS!!!" But now a new product for sale throughout south Louisiana is testing that mantra.
According to a post on their Facebook page, Rouses Markets will now carry pumpkin spice bacon.
While some may think this combination of sweet and savory is an odd pairing, the new product certainly is garnering its share of supporters in the comments section beneath the post.
The bacon, manufactured by John F. Martin & Sons, says it is a "limited release" on the package, so if you're craving an autumnal breakfast pairing truly like no other, it might be best to check your local Rouses sooner rather than later.
