Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies shot and killed a man who, authorities say, shot and killed his wife and their two-year-old daughter. The suspect, deputies say, also wounded his other two children.
According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto, one of the surviving children called 911 to alert authorities to the incident at the home on Stephen Drive at Hester Avenue in River Ridge.
Lopinto says when his deputies arrived on scene, they found, Dung Pham, 40, and the toddler, Amy Bohne, 2, dead in a hallway. They also found two other children, a nine-year-old and a 13-year-old, suffering from gunshot wounds. The nine-year-old is in critical condition after undergoing surgery at a local hospital. The 13-year-old is reportedly stable with an ankle wound.
Lopinto says the responding deputies then encountered the suspected gunman, identified as the woman's husband and the children's father, Glenn Bohne, Jr., in a bedroom. That's when, according to Lopinto, Bohne pulled a gun. Lopinto says that when deputies shot Bohne, 46, killing him.
According to Lopinto, investigators are not looking for any other suspects.
The case remains under investigation.
