Lundi Gras is here and there is lots to do even before tonight's parades.

"I don't think there's anywhere on Earth that in two weeks does as much partying and parades and fun as happens right here in New Orleans, Louisiana," said Float maker Barry Kern of Mardi Gras World.

Events get started at 10 a.m. when the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club throws its annual Lundi Gras bash in Woldenberg Park. It includes music, food, and appearances by Zulu parade characters before the king and queen of Zulu arrive at 5 p.m.

Just a few steps upriver at Spanish Plaza, Riverwalk Outlets hosts its 39th annual Lundi Gras celebration, starting at 11 o'clock. Rex arrives at 6 p.m. and the event includes a meeting with the Zulu king and a fireworks display.

At 11 a.m. in Kenner's Rivertown, it's the meeting of the courts of Argus and Zulu.
