For the first time in nearly four months, somebody hit the Louisiana Lotto jackpot. That person is apparently from the Crescent City.
According to the Louisiana Lottery, a ticket purchased at the Winn-Dixie on North Carrollton Avenue matched all six numbers in Wednesday night's drawing. That winning ticket, lottery officials say, is worth $1.85 million.
This marks the first time since May 6 that someone hit the Lotto jackpot. That jackpot is the largest Lotto prize since someone won $3.3 million dollars in the January 7 drawing.
The person who holds the winning ticket has until February 26 to claim the cash.
