The Department of Corrections announces the return of the Angola Prison Rodeo, on April 23 and 24th.
Department of Corrections Spokesperson Ken Pastorick told Louisiana Radio Network that After a two-year hiatus, tickets to the popular spectator event could sell out fast.
“Come out and enjoy the rodeo, enjoy the food, the festivities, the hobby crafts that will be sold by the inmates. I promise you if you come out though, you will definitely enjoy it, it’s a different atmosphere, a different event, something like you’ve never experienced before,” said Pastorick.
The show is a family event featuring food, inmate-made hobby crafts. The main event features Angola Prison inmates participating in a competitive bull riding rodeo.
