A standoff between New Orleans Police and a suspected criminal has come to a peaceful end in the Lower Garden District.
Police says the suspect barricaded himself inside a home in the 1900 block of Annunciation Street.
Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Larry Davis, wanted in connection with a deadly shooting near Willie Mae's Scotch House restaurant in Treme in March.
An initial alert from NOPD said the SWAT team was attempting to arrest an individual in the 1900 block Tchoupitoulas Street.
The Walmart and the NOPD Traffic Division are the only buildings in that block.
The Public Information Office later corrected the address to the 1900 block of Annunciation Street, a couple of blocks from the supermarket.
