A Loyola student escaped an attempted carjacking early this morning just off the Broadway campus.
According to police, the would-be victim had just driven out of a parking lot when a white vehicle pulled up in front of her.
Police say an armed man got out and approached the woman. That it when she hit the gas and drove around the white vehicle and fled.
WWL-TV reports the woman then met up with campus police and contacted NOPD.
The suspect remains at large.
