Lane Kiffin is adjusting to Louisiana life quickly, and now, a New Orleans Mardi Gras krewe is helping initiate Kiffin to the ways of Carnival.
Kiffin will serve as co-grand marshal of the Endymion Parade on February 14. Krewe officials made the announcement during the krewe’s coronation ball.
Mardi Gras Guide founder Arthur Hardy will also serve as grand marshal.
“Lane Kiffin will ride the large Tiger float that Kern (Studios) built for the LSU College World Series run,” Endymion Captain Dan Kelly said. “Arthur will have his own float also.”
Kiffin, who guided Ole Miss to a berth in the College Football Playoff before accepting a seven-year contract to coach LSU, is getting familiar with New Orleans. He was in town last week to recruit local high school football players.
