Inland Seafood, the “largest seafood distributor in the Southeast,” is setting up shop in Jefferson Parish.
“They supply so much seafood,” said Jefferson Parish Council-At-Large member Scott Walker. “I think it's 5,500 restaurants, 2,500 retailers across… the Southeast.”
Walker spoke with WWL’s Newell Normand about the Inland Seafood headquarters move – and what is signals for the Jefferson Parish economy.
“We’re excited about it,” said Walker. “It’s proving once again that Jefferson Parish is an exciting economic climate, that people want to come and do business in and want to live in and be part of.”
In addition to Inland Seafood, Walker and Normand discussed home insurance accommodations intended to attract insurance companies to the parish, working with the Jefferson Economic Development Corporation and more. Listen to their full conversation here.
