New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2600 block of A.P. Tureaud Ave.
The crime scene is about a block away from St. Augustine High School.
Police say around 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.
"Officers found a male victim on the ground who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound," said Sgt. Barry Fletcher. "Officers found a male victim on the ground who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound."
