Investigators with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office are working to find who is responsible for a man and a woman found shot to death inside a car just before Christmas Eve.
It happened about 11:00 p.m. when deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Yale Street on a call of shots fired in the area.
When deputies arrived, they found the two victims dead inside a car in front of an apartment building says JPSO spokesperson, Capt.
Jason Rivarde.
“Neighbors reported hearing what they believed may have been gunshots about an hour prior to the discovery of the victims,” Rivarde said. “Both victims were suffering from gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead on the scene.”
The coroner’s office will release the names of the victims after an autopsy is complete and the family is notified.
There is no suspect or motive to the crime available at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
