A man in West Monroe was taken into custody early Thursday morning after a traffic stop resulted in what he claims was an unknown and unwelcome discovery about his car.
Brandon Counts, 42, told police that the truck he was driving was a new purchase, and he was shocked to discover it rang up as stolen when police ran the plate.
Counts said he had bought the truck from a man he rendezvoused with in the parking lot of an Anytime Fitness location.
