New Orleans police are looking for a suspect who, they say, cut off his ankle monitor to elude authorities.
An NOPD spokesperson says Romaley Loring removed this ankle monitor Wednesday night. Authorities learned about it when they received an electronic tampering notification from the monitor. When authorities arrived at the location transmitted by the ankle device, they found the monitor. The ankle strap had been cut.
Police say Loring was initially arrested last September for illegally carrying a gun in the French Quarter. He's now wanted for a tampering with electronic monitoring equipment charge.
