New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2600 block of Second Street.
Police say shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of shots fired in that location.
"Responding officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound," said police spokesman Barry Fletcher. "New Orleans EMS confirmed the victim was deceased."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
