Cops say a man is dead after gunfire Sunday night in Metairie.
"The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide," Sergeant Brandon Veal said in an email. "Around 10:30 pm, deputies responded to a report of a shooting that occurred in the 1600 block of Colony Rd. Upon arrival, they located an unresponsive adult male on the ground outside a residence."
Detectives say the victim was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene.
"There is no motive or suspect information available for release at this time."
