Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Marrero.
Authorities say around 9:15 p.m. Friday, deputies were sent to investigate a call of a shooting at Ames Blvd. and Field St.
"Upon their arrival, they located a black male victim in the 6200 block of Field St. The victim was on a sidewalk near a local bar," said Capt. Jason Rivarde of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. "He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and was pronounced dead on the scene."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
