The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office says a call of gunfire led them to a body Sunday evening.
"At around 5:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of gunshots in the 2900 block of South Monterey Ct.," Captain Jason Rivarde said in an email. "While checking the area, the deputies located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in front of a residence."
He says the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
"There is no suspect or motive information available at this time."
Detectives are asking for help figuring out what happened.
