Cops say gunfire rang out early Sunday morning near the corner of Tchoupitoulas and Poydras Streets.
"The victim was inside of a parked vehicle with a friend when a subject inside another vehicle began to blow the horn," according to an initial police report.
Investigators say it happened shortly after 3:00am.
"The victim exited his vehicle and approached the subject's vehicle and was shot once."
The shooter drove away.
"The victim was taken to a local hospital."
The police report did not say the victim's condition.
