The NOPD is investigating a shooting that wounded a man in the leg during an altercation between two suspects turned into a gunfight Monday night
The shooting happened in the 6200 block of North Rampart Street.
According to NOPD, two suspects got into an altercation with each other, then both suspects pulled out a gun and got into a gunfight with each other. Neither suspect was injured, however, the stray bullets hit two bystanders. One victim refused treatment. The other victim was transported to the hospital via EMS.
NOPD reports they were first notified of the shooting at about 10:21 p.m.
