A 19-year-old man was shot while driving on the Pontchartrain Expressway near New Orleans.
As Nola.com reports, New Orleans Police report that the shooting happened on the elevated US 90B in the westbound lanes near the Crescent City Connection’s Tchoupitoulas Street exit. The shooting happened at about 2:22 a.m. police say in the report.
The victim tells police as he was driving in the area, two vehicles pulled up and people inside both vehicles began shooting at him. The victim then drove himself to the hospital. His condition is not known at this time.
This is the latest shooting to happen to a driver while driving on interstates and highways in the New Orleans area.
