The NOPD says detectives have identified an alleged killer.
"New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for second degree murder," according to a news release.
Erick Garrison (pictured above) is a 31-year-old black male.
"Warning: Erick Garrison is considered to be armed and dangerous."
Cops says Garrison is wanted for a murder on August 3rd in the 3100 block of Saint Roch Avenue.
An initial police report says, "Officers responded to call of person shot. Upon arrival, they found victim on neutral ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS arrived on scene and pronounced victim deceased."
Detectives want anyone who knows where to find Garrison to call them.
"Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to call Homicide detectives at 504-658-5300 or to anonymously call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111."
